It’s been a while since we sent out a BIG THANK YOU to all our patrons. We appreciate each and everyone of our guests… first timers, locals, tourists… We hope each diner has something unique to take away from us at our comfy café on Pinckney street.

Hands down one of my favorite spots in Charleston. Awesome lunch deals and amazing for dinner, too. One of my favorites for lunch is the Chinese chicken salad ( on a “healthier day”) but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The truffle fries fill the restaurant with a mouth watering smell. The balsamic portebello wrap is stuffed with a thick piece of fresh mozzarella and sauteed veggies-a messy masterpiece.

Another wonderful thing about Cru is their wine list. I’ve had 2 of the best pinot noirs i’ve ever tasted while dining at Cru- and both for a reasonable price! The Meiomi pinot noir pairs perfectly with any dish, whether it be the ginger seared salmon risotto or the pork tenderloin. The atmosphere is great- cozy yet upbeat ambiance.  Be sure to make a reservation because it gets packed quickly. And if you can… request a couple seats at the bar that overlook the kitchen.. it’s the best spot in the house. Dani Y, Charleston SC, Via Yelp

Always am intrigues by the daily specials and have NEVER ever been disappointed by a meal. We take out of town visitors here a lot and they are also amazed at how delish the meals are. The community table is great but the small tables are good too. In comparison to other restaurant prices, it is in line with Charleston and folks from out of town need to know that this is not an inexpensive town, but a true foodie destination.  Oh and the other fact that we have noticed is that the same servers seem to be there always so very little turn around in staff….which is a good sign. And don’t hesitate to ask the servers for their recommendations! Do yourself a favor and try this place when you can!  Dr.JRCinSC, Via Trip Advisor

Loved our experience here! We sat at the chefs table. Our meal included the Brie, salmon for me and duck for my partner. Everything was delicious. Service was good. The restaurant was packed and I can see why.  Ange, Charleston, Via Urbanspoon
