We always love hearing from our patrons whether first timers or our beloved regulars. It makes our day learning how Cru Cafe satisfied your cravings and left you with a smile. It’s only right that we get a special review that warms our hearts we share, and this was a review worth sharing!
After living in Charleston for many years and never having made it to Cru Cafe, I will certainly be prioritizing this place from now on! If you love great sandwiches, soups, salads and more, this is the place for you! They have a great pick two lunch option and we were NOT disappointed. It did take a bit longer than expected — we finished two leisurely rounds of drinks before our food showed up. But when it did, what a great surprise!
My husband got the garlic chicken club and tomato basil soup, I got the portobello sandwich and tomato basil soup as well, and we shared a side of amazing au gratin potatoes. It was all AMAZING and it was one of those places where I was already planning which salad I wanted to try the next time (they have one with fried goat cheese on it… yum!). The entire time I was enjoying my meal, one thing stuck in my head — thus the title of my review — “this is how food should taste.” Go! You won’t regret it and you’ll definitely be back. 🙂
