Come out and support Cru Q at the First Annual “Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown” hosted by Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, Friday and Saturday November 16th and 17th (at 20 Patriots Point Rd, Mount Pleasant). Cru Q, led by Travers Horton, will be participating in the BBQ cook off all weekend. Competition will be for best chicken wings, pork butts and pork ribs. Celebrity judges will determine the winners, but don’t worry there are also people’s choice awards and plenty of samplings to be had!
Friday (November 16th) gates open at 5:00pm and festivities include kid zone, vendors, sampling and awesome live music. The cook-off closes its gates at 10:00pm, but no worries you can head over to the official after party at Suede!
Saturday (November 17th) gates open at noon and the fun goes all day- something for everyone- the kid zone, samplings, live music, Iron Bartender Competition and the awards ceremony. Gates close up at 8:00pm but head on over to Suede to celebrate with the winners!
Admission is $10.00; receive $5.00 off if you bring a donation of 5 canned goods for the Lowcountry Food Bank. Sampling cards can also be purchased for $20.00.
